Sierra is a fully approved and registered RIDSH (3/4 Irish and 1/4 Dutch) black mare. She is by our Class 1 RID stallion Touch Of The Blues who needs no introduction in the Irish Draught World. She is out of fully approved RIDSH mare Just Foolin who was imported in utero from the well known stud farm Kennedy Equine Centre in Ireland. Just foolin is by the international show jumper Maltstriker KWPN who was on the Irish and Italian team before retiring completely sound. Just Foolin is out of the premium RID mare Ballyard Katie who is also the dam to the late RID stallion KEC Double Diamond. Touch Of Dutch is incredibly bred descending from Ben Purple, TOTB, King Of Diamonds, Creggan Diamond, Marco Polo, Abgar (foundation to the modern Dutch breeding and closely related to Pion, Marius and Milton.
Touch Of Dutch (Sierra) has not been started under saddle as she has been more valuable to us as a brood mare. She has had several foals over the years by warmbloods and ISH all have been athletic and easy to handle. She stands 15.2hh but when bred to a stallion of good size she throws big foals and they have all been bays or blacks. She did have an injury as a 3 year old and had surgery on her hock but she is 100% sound and could be started under saddle. She is an excellent mover, is easy to handle, loads well and travels nicely in the trailer. Is good for the vet and farrier. She has a foal at foot which has sold so she won't be ready to leave until after weaning. Price will include board up until foal is weaned.
