Mia is by the famous stallion Cassini II and out of Elieta, who is by Hilltop Farm’s well know stallion Riverman.
Cassini II’s progeny are modern in type and show great jumping potential. Many of his offspring qualified for the German Championships (Bundeschampionart) in Warendorf in 2005 & 2006. In 2005 one of his numerous licensed sons Camargue was sold for €230,000 to Denmark. In 2007 eight of his sons made the final selection for the stallion licensing and three were licensed. Cassini II produced the best jumping horse of the Elite Riding Horse auction in Neumunster in 2004, Caress, a mare which sold for €105,000 to a well known sport stable in Germany. Caress under the name of Ophelia, along with Cassius and Centurion are top jumping horses and are amongst many who are proving his worth as a sire of jumping horses.
Elieta competed very successfully through training level eventing, including many championships and high point awards. She is easy horse to ride and very armature friendly.
Riverman has been named the USEF Eventing Sire of the Year 5 times, was honored with the USEF South Pacific Award (for the Top US-based Show Jumping Sire) 3 times, was on the WBFSH Sire Rankings List, and has sired Grand Prix Jumpers, Grand Prix Dressage Horses, Advanced Level Eventers, Advanced Level Driving Horses, and numerous successful Hunters.
Mia has all of her age appropriate ground work. She cross ties, loads in a trailer, stands great for the farrier, lunges with a saddle and bridle. Mia demonstrates great scope and ability in the jump chute as well as athletic and powerful gaits. Currently Mia sticks at a little over 16 hands and we expect her to finish around 16.2 hands. She has been easy to work with and shows great potential to be a high level athlete in a variety of disciplines. Mia is ready to be officially started under saddle and begin a successful career with her new person.
