3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Millwall! Fondly known as Miller in the barn, this 8 year old, 16.2hh dark bay Kentucky bred Thoroughbred gelding is often mistaken for a warmblood with his good looks and build. He comes from really lovely lines, as his grand sire is the great Real Quiet and his dam’s sire is Ghostzapper, who goes back to Danzig. These are excellent lines for sport, especially dressage, eventing, jumpers, and hunters. This lovely pedigree is why Miller has a charming and kind temperament with so much talent! Miller raced a total of two times at Laurel Park, only finishing third once and earning a total of $6,800. He wasn’t a great race horse, despite selling as a yearling for $310,000! Last raced in February of 2019, Miller has been let down, restarted, and is enjoying his new job of almost five years as a fantastic sport horse!
Miller is an eventing training packer with experience in hunters, jumpers, fox hunting, and so much more! A push ride with a lesson horse type feel, Miller would suit a variety of riders. He is lovely on the flat, nice enough for pure dressage, and has a confirmed lead change for the hunter ring (but dressage changes aren’t far behind). Very point and shoot jumping, especially in stadium. He is brave and fun cross country and easily tackles water, ditches, banks, and harder questions. Miller has done a number of schooling horse trials up to training level and is ready to start his rated show record with his new rider. Miller also has experience going to hunter and jumper shows at novice and training height. He definitely has the scope and talent for so much more! He will continue to compete and move up the levels until sold.
Miller also loves hacking out, hunter paces, and trail rides. He is the same horse with days off and doesn’t need a profession program as he has been mostly ammy produced. He is the same horse at shows as he is at home. While Miller has experience fox hunting in a number of Virginia hunts, including going first, second, and third flight absolutely perfectly, we are not sure he wants to continue fox hunting. He is such a nice, stunning, and talented show horse, where his true calling is geared more towards showing or being an all-around type. But, with the right rider, maybe he would enjoy continuing to fox hunt. He could really help the next up and coming teen or ammy achieve their goals in the show ring. Just recently, Miller competed at Loch Moy Farm in a beginner novice horse trial with his trainer’s young assistant rider. They had a beautiful dressage test, scoring a 32.0 (68%), putting them in 3rd place after dressage in a competitive field of talented horses. Unfortunately, his rider made an error in stadium and jumped the wrong jump, giving them a technical elimination. But, Miller doesn’t know he did anything wrong and jumped incredibly well! Miller will continue showing until sold.
Miller is super easy with a sweet pet personality in the barn. He loves attention and will even lick your hands like a puppy! He has perfect ground manners and stands perfectly on the cross ties, on the trailer, and at the mounting block. Perfect for the vet and farrier. Easy to groom, tack, bathe, and clip. He has very good feet and only wears four shoes. Great and easy in his turnout group. Miller is also a safe horse. While he may notice some odd things from time to time, giving a little look at something odd, he would never do anything naughty. He can take a joke and can help correct a rider’s mistakes as he is a confident horse jumping. No stop in this horse! Zero vices and no maintenance. Up to date on everything, including dental, coggins, and shots.
If you are looking for a unicorn, Miller is the one for you! He could easily continue to go in any direction, from eventing to straight dressage to hunters to jumpers, or even a bit of everything. Miller would love to take his new rider to a horse trial one day, then trail riding the next. And even though he is quite easygoing, he is an absolute star and anyone would be lucky to have this horse. Ammy friendly in every way. He is kind, sweet, and forgiving. Not to mention, one of the most beautiful horses! He truly is the definition of a very talented pet with the ability to go far in a number of equestrian sports.
