3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Cam, registered name Mission Wrapitup! Cam is a 6 year old, 16.2hh New York bred Thoroughbred gelding. As a stunning gray, with excellent bone structure and a beautiful build, Cam is incredibly flashy! But despite being so gorgeous, he is also a very quiet mount, with a kind eye. Bred with a sporty pedigree, Cam’s sire is Mission Impazible. His dam is Thatza Wrap, who has impressive lines back to Hard Spun, Danzig, A.P. Indy, Seattle Slew, and Secretariat. Cam raced a total of forty-four times, earning a total of $225,602. He came in first four times, second two times, and third six times. Cam last raced in October of 2022. Since then, he has been let down, restarted, and is enjoying his new job over the last year (plus) of being an all around incredible riding horse!
Cam was sourced by our client originally to be a project and sales horse right off the track. His incredible personality, talent, and easy nature caused him to stay in her barn all this time as her personal riding horse. But, Cam really wants his own person and that is the only reason this amazing horse is for sale now. He retired sound off the track with no injuries. He did have a tiny old popped splint. But its cold (frozen at the time) and he continued to race on it with no limitations. And it has no effect on his current career as a sport horse. Other than that tiny blemish, which is almost unnoticeable as it blends in with his beautiful gray coat, Cam’s legs are cold and tight. He has no maintenance and is just as easy as they come!
Post track, Cam is becoming an incredible riding horse. With over a year plus of training after being on the track, Cam is going nicely walk, trot, and canter under saddle. He is learning lateral work and has three lovely gaits. He is jumping small courses with the scope and talent for more! He has even taught some lessons and tagged in as a mount for a working student/assistant. Cam would make a lovely all around horse, an eventer, a dressage mount, or anything in-between, especially for ammys, teens, or kids. He is also a very safe horse, who has never spooked or bucked in the year (plus) that our client has owned him. He is as bombproof as a young horse can be. In fact, he is happy to play dress up, most recently wearing antlers and jingle bells for some holiday fun! Despite the bells being incredibly loud, Cam could have cared less and happily carried on like a much more seasoned horse. Cam has also gone western, bareback, and is always up for new adventures!
In addition, Cam is easy in any barn. Hops right on the trailer for adventures. Easy in turnout. Happy in or out. Great for the vet, farrier, and dentist. Up to date on everything with just front shoes. He is currently in front glue-ons only because of the horrible drought conditions here in Virginia this summer and fall. His farrier is confident he will go back into regular shoes within the next cycle or two, especially now that we have finally gotten some much needed rain in Virginia again. Happy to stand for tacking, grooming, baths, and clipping. Stands nicely at the mounting block and on the cross ties. Great ground manners. And is just an absolute joy! Very sweet and would love to be someone’s talented pet. Cam is truly worth his weight in gold.
Cam would be perfect for ammys, teens, or kids with his safe, easy, and quiet personality. He is also incredibly talented with three nice gaits, perfect for dressage and flatwork. He also enjoys jumping and would make a great hunter, jumper, eventer, or foxhunter. But with his easygoing, kind nature, he would make a great all around horse and be happy having new adventures with his own person. A very safe horse, with no buck or spook, and so much talent with a kind eye. Flashy, safe, and talented! What more could you want? Come snap Cam up today, just in time for the holidays! This incredible horse won’t last long. For more information and videos, and to set up a time to meet Cam, please contact 3 Diamonds Farm at [email protected].
Cam is located at a private farm in Jeffersonton, Virginia.
