Monty is a super sweet and steady mount ready to take his rider up the levels. He is a fast learner with a calm and forgiving nature that makes working with him a pleasure. He’s been to several clinics and one show last year. I had intended to take him as a non-compete horse for his first show but in the age of Covid that wasn’t allowed. So we entered one class. He did awesome, scoring a 68.9 at training level test three with his rider having an error on course. At 15.3 1/2 he is eligible for the small horse pony cup year end awards which he place 3rd nationally at training level open. Monty is currently schooling all of the second level movements and will continue progress towards third level. He is well started in half steps which are developing into a high quality piaffe and being introduced to the idea of passage. Truly a horse that has the mind to go all the way. Monty is easy going both at home and away. He has plenty of ability and scope to be competitive for professionals and has an easy-going temperament that will appeal to amateurs. Monty hacks out alone or with company. His trot does have some swing and bounce to it so he won’t be appropriate for someone just learning how to sit the trot. In the barn he is well mannered, cross ties, clips, bathes, loads, no vices, and no soundness issues, easy going turnout buddy, current X-rays available. Monty loves people, being handled, groomed and is up for adventures. And he’s super handsome to boot!

**Update- Monty just attended his second show. He was incredible both in his awesome behavior and scoring. He scored high 60s at training level and over 70% at first level. He’s clearly ready to move up to second level. The whole weekend Monty acted like he’s done this all his life. His easy-going attitude really makes showing fun.
