NASH I.C.
July 5th, 2018 | KWPN | COLT
(Ampere x Sapphire/Gribaldi)
Nash is a STUNNING KWNP COLT with International potential for the Dressage ring.
He boasts an impressive pedigree and powerful movement to match and is only 1 of 2 confirmed Ampere foals born in Canada in 2018.
This big framed, powerful boy has a tremendous presence and is a true pleasure to be around. He is full of character, showing us his curious and intelligent nature while still being easy to handle. His gaits are expressive and uphill, and he inherited his sires’ beautiful neck and head.
Sired by the world class champion stallion Ampere, this bay stallion became the undoubtable winner of the 70-day performance test in Ermelo in 2008.
Obtaining scores for his extraordinary qualities of: walk 8, trot 9, canter 9.5, suppleness 9, self-carriage & balance 8.5, and talent for dressage 9.
The test riders described this stallion as the best stallion they had ridden in years.
Ampere has sired more than 40 licensed stallions representing various registries including KWPN, OLD, HANN, WESTF, RHEIN, ZWEI, SWB, and HOLST stud books. Additionally, in 2011, a weanling colt sired by Ampère sold for a Vetcha Auction for a record price of €200,000. Then in 2013, the most expensive foal at the Swedish Elite Foal Auction was by Ampère and in total 7 out of 30 selected elite foals were sired by him. Lastly, in 2016, sales prices of offspring at auction topped €818,000 and earned Ampère a spot in the Top 20 Stallions based on total sales price.
Nash’s dam (Sapphire) is a beautiful bay, 16.2hh mare by the legendary Gribaldi.
Sapphire is a stunning and sweet mare with quality expressive gaits, superb work ethic, and a wonderful temperament. She had shown successfully to I-1 before being retired to breeding. Her correct conformation, along with her show record and outstanding breeding made her a perfect candidate for our breeding program.
Grandsire Gribaldi needs no introduction as he had an extremely successful international career under Edward Gal, including competing at the 2007 World Cup Finals. Gribaldi was the 1995 champion of the stallion selections and 1996 champion of his stallion performance test and has been proclaimed a Keur stallion. He is also highly respected as a sire with FEI horses such as Sister de Jeu, Painted Black, and of course Totilas to his credit.
Nash will be registered with the KWPN-NA and is currently intact.
