Natty Jaguar M is a Jaguar Mail-Cardento-Nimmerdor gelding, with a versatile pedigree and correct conformation. He is microchipped, DNA-tested, and ready to move into your barn. Now starting under saddle, he is showing great athleticism and trainability.
Handled daily since birth, Natty Jaguar M (“Jag”) is bold and personable. He loves attention and is calm and well mannered. He will be a big horse (17 h as 2-yo) and has substantial bone. Jag is a superb cross of the renowned warmblood jumper lines of his talented dam with a large dose of Thoroughbred from his equally athletic Selle Francais sire. We expect Jag to have exceptional jumping talent as well as great gaits and rideability.
Sire: The Selle Francais stallion Jaguar Mail is an impressive 17.1 h dark bay jumper, 82% Thoroughbred by pedigree. He was a successful international Grand Prix jumper and member of the 5th place 2008 Swedish Olympic team. Jaguar Mail’s multi-talented sire, Hand In Glove (xx), showed to Prix St. Georges level in dressage and at Grand Prix level in showjumping. Hand In Glove was accepted by 15 studbooks. Like his father, Jaguar Mail sires excellent horses that are successful in multiple disciplines. The story of Jaguar Mail is well-told in this article: http://www.horsemagazine.com/thm/2016/10/jaguar-mail/ Jaguar Mail was ranked #2 in the 2017 WBFSH eventing sire ranking and has resided in the top ranks for years. World-class eventers like Olympic Gold medalist Michael Jung ride Jaguar Mail offspring. You can too!
Dam: KWPN mare, Edin CHF, has an exceptional pedigree. Her sire, Olympic Cardento, grey Holsteiner by Capitol I, is a 17 h (173 cm) Elite Stallion from a superior line of jumpers. Three silver medals—2004 Olympics, World Cup, and European Championship—reside in his trophy case. Cardento offspring compete in international venues under world-class riders. He has high jumping indices in the studbooks of KWPN (148), Sweden (165), and Germany (154). Cardento semen is now rare, as the 1992 stallion is retired at VDL Stud in the Netherlands. Edin’s mareline is also superb. Her dam KWPN mare, Lidin Elite, is a rare direct daughter of the incomparable Nimmerdor. Lidin has produced many well-conformed, attractive, and powerful offspring at Carnival Hill Farm in New Hampshire. Lidin was imported from the Netherlands following successful competition at national level Z (4’ 3”) jumping and transitioned to broodmare duties. Lidin’s sire, Nimmerdor, was one of the best showjumpers of his era. Highly placed in the Dutch and WBFSH jumper sire rankings, Nimmerdor also sired successful dressage horses. This superstar of the VDL Stud breeding program was awarded the title of “KWPN Stallion of the Century” in 2000. Nimmerdor’s profound influence in the KWPN continues in his 18 approved sons and 39 approved grandsons.
Natty Jaguar M is a gorgeous and athletic youngster. Come to see him in person—you’ll agree that he has everything it takes to go far and jump high!
