Now available for sale, talented 2008 imported Danish warmblood mare with FEI potential by elite 2010 stallion of the year BLUE HORS DON ROMANTIC.

Don Romantic was the most used breeding stallion in Denmark last breeding season (2008) and was ranked the #1 sire for the Swedish Association.
He sired the champion stallion in Herning Blue Hors Develino as well as the approved stallions Blue Hors Dicardo and Duendecillo P. Two of his daughters became champion mares at the regional gradings and one of them, Hønnerups Delay, was awarded gold at the elite show. Don Romantic himself does not know of defeat. In 1999 he was the foal of the year in Danish Warmblood and in 2002 he became champion stallion and winner of the performance test. He took the champion title again in 2003 and was awarded the highly coveted challenge trophy of Aage Ravn as well as the gold medal, which has only been awarded to a young stallion twice before in the history of Danish Warmblood.

Don Romantic won the dressage division of the performance test as well as he became the overall winner with nothing less than 885 points, scoring 10 for canter and ridability, and four times 9.5 from the test riders! At the young horse championship in Denmark Don Romantic won the qualifiers as well as the final for 4 year old horses at Vilhelmsborg, where judge Kyra Kyrklund gave him 10 for his canter.

An excellent foal report from Danish Warmblood concludes that Don Romantic passes on his outstanding type, extraordinary basic gaits and matches a wide range of mare types. Don Romantic is solidly bred on dressage performance through Don Schufro, Romancier and thoroughbred stallion Mago. All three stallions have won international dressage competitions at advanced level. The dam line has also produced the international Grand Prix horse Supermax Ravel.

ATHENE's dam was an RH approved Grand Prix mare by Sylvester. Sylvester was exported to Germany from Denmark where he covered mares for the Oldenburg verband as well as competed in Grand Prix.

In clinics with Jan Brink, Jan commented that Athene is a perfect representation of a Don Romantic offspring. She is currently riding in clinics with Christine Traurig, who repeatedly mentions what a wonderful willing and cooperative mare she is, with a beautiful overall impression.

She was approved RDS mare in Denmark, upon arriving to USA in early 2012. A big mare, standing at 16,3, she has been given time to mature and develop. She was shown last year training level with scores in the upper 70s and will be showing first and schooling second this year.

Her favorite time of the day is not pasture time, but her schooling time whether its in the indoor arena, outdoor arena, or the field where she has spent a lot of time becoming a well rounded horse.

She is well suited for either an ambitious amateur, young rider, or professional. Typical for Don Romatic offspring, she has a ground covering swinging walk, powerful push in the trot and a rhythmic canter that she will stay in forever.

Athenes carefully laid and solid foundation combined with her exceptional work ethic, makes her ready to go to a performance home. Not to mention that this mare also has the potential for a great breeding career later.
