Sophie is a lovely young prospect that has talent to go in any direction. She is by the KWPN stallion C Waterford (Consul/Farmer/Saluut) that stands at Cornell University. He is a versatile stallion that competed in the hunter ring prior to a career ending injury. His pedigree is packed with jumping blood, however, there is talent for dressage in there too as his full brother competed successfully in GP dressage.
Sophie's dam, Fergie, is an Oldenburg mare by Freestyle and out of our foundation mare by Salut. Fergie is maternal sibling to Rosalut NHF- 2x champion at the USEF/Markel Young and Developing Dressage Horse Championships and HOTY. Rosalut NHF currently heading for the international competition arena. Fergie herself competed in dressage until a soft tissue injury brought her back to us here at North Hill Farm.
Sophie is a big girl- tall with plenty of bone. She should mature to 16.3+. She is a sweet girl that wants to please. She is a powerful mover with 3 correct, balanced gaits. Like her dam, she has an especially great canter. She would be a terrific all-arounder type for someone who wanted to do some dressage and jumping or could make up to be a quality event horse.
Sophie is registered KWPN-NA, microchipped and lifetime registered with USEF.
Price is not a reflection of the quality of this filly. I need to make some space before the snow flies and I really want Sophie to find a person of her own to dote on her.
