Meet Novello, he is a sweet 16.0 HH Andalusian gelding who was imported from Spain. He currently has ANCCE papers with signed carta in hand. This charming fella is ready for his new home.
Novello has experience jumping small courses, jumping starter and some Beginner Novice fences, he has also shown in dressage at little local shows. He currently school's 2nd level, some 3rd level movements at home and has lead changes over poles. He has also worked cattle and gone to working cow horse clinics. He has dabbled a bit in all disciplines and can excel further in any direction desired.
Don't let his lack of show record put you off, Novello has been hauled all over Texas and is well adjusted to different environments. The reason he has no show record is because we have mainly been focusing on the young horses that come from our breeding program and we can only show so many per season, however Novello has tagged along as non-compete to some shows. Novello has been actively attending all sorts of clinics and visited state parks and ranches with miles of trails under him. He is the same horse at home as in new places.
Novello hard ties, rides barefoot, perfect for hauling, is ok if by himself but loves the company of other horses, can be turned out with others (but tends to be at the top of the food chain, so can be a meany in the pecking order.) easy on the hay bill, lunges, good on crossties, good with clippers and will stand perfect for a full body clip. He does not need to be in a full program and is usually the same horse even with off time. He can live inside or out and does not mind either situation.
Novello is not a spooky horse but can be sensitive at times and will be a responsive horse to his rider. In the brief moments that he is fresh he can be a little forward. This is easy to manage and short lived, however we think he will be the best horse for someone who is not very timid or is working with a trainer. Ranch horse life would also suit him. Bedded white tail deer flying out of nowhere? flying plastic bag? tarps? falling trees during horse events? Hail on the covered arena? he doesn't care. He has been ridden in traffic and has schooled in water as well.
Does he buck? Bolt? Spin? No. He will jig when excited and that's the extend of it. He will get tired and will be back to being his good old self.
He can be a forward ride but can still take leg. As he is worked more, or with a more consistent work schedule, he tends to take more leg. He loves to bond with his person and enjoys long grooming sessions. He is sweet and polite as they come with pristine ground manners. Easy to lead and catch (if food is involved.) He does well in hot climates but handles the cold just as good.
Novello is probably our easiest horse to look after at the moment; Therefor we prioritize the right situation for him over a sale and don't mind keeping him around. Currently has not required any type of maintenance and has been sound in consistent work schedules.
We welcome all vetting at buyer's expense.
