Oberon GSF (shown as “King of Harts” USDF # 1113107) is a gold premium branded Zweibrucker gelding (15.3hh; DOB: 6/15/2012) bred in the US by Greenstone Farm. He is by the stallion Orleandro (HOL) out of an RPSI/Knabbstrupper mare. His sire line goes back to both Landgraf I (HOL) and Nasrullah (xx), while his dam line goes back to Weltstern (OLD) and Rasmus Af Hallundbaek (KNN).

Oberon is a super sweet, eye catching, in-your-pocket gelding who has excellent ground manners and a good work ethic. And don’t let his height fool you—he is well sprung, and easily takes up the leg of his 5’9” AA owner. He has three good gaits with an exceptional uphill canter and has been produced completely by his amateur owner from backing as a 3yo to schooling 4th level now. And while not shown in 2018 as a 6yo due his owner’s health, he successfully completed the USDF Materiale (3yo) and FEI Young Horse (4yo and 5yo) tests with scores ranging from mid-60’s to low 70’s at rated competitions. He is now ready to show 3rd level, and could likely move up to either the FEI 7yo test or 4th level in the summer.

As a coming 7yo, Oberon has confirmed flying changes and is schooling tempis and working pirouette. He is light to the aids, forward-thinking, does all lateral movements (leg-yield, shoulder-in, travers, renvers, and half pass) at both the trot and canter, and is schooling passade turns in preparation for full pirouette and half-steps. Oberon can also jump courses to 3’, including ditches, banks, and water, will hack out on the trails alone or in a group, and can be ponied for fitness work. He is healthy and up to date on all routine vet care with no maintenance required or vices. He cross- and straight ties, clips, bathes, self-loads into the trailer, and is very well mannered for the barn staff, vet, and farrier. With his loving personality and clear athletic potential for FEI performance, Oberon would be best suited for an ambitious AA or JR/YR in a training program who wants to take him up the levels.
