Chewelah is a stunning almost 4 year old sport horse filly by Orca. She is 25% Friesian, 25% Spotted Draft and 50% Pinto Saddlebred. She is currently registered as a Friesian Heritage Horse and eligible for Sport Horse International. Chewelah’s sire is Orca, a USDF Dressage Champion, known worldwide for his movement and temperament. Her dam is Moonlight Hy Color LaDe Dots, a beautiful homozygous black and white pinto Saddlebred.

Chewelah has an amazing aptitude to learn. She is curious, brave, and willing in everything she does. She leads, ties, hauls, bathes, clips, cross ties, and learns quickly. She has been handled from birth and is continuing training in groundwork, obstacles, and liberty. She’s 15.3H and should finish at 16H. She is sound and has three lovely, balanced gaits and loves to jump! She’s confident in her nature and has never offered to spook, buck, bolt, or rear undersaddle, but may be a little hesitant to come forward with a timid rider, so she would be best suited for someone more confident or someone in a training program. She comes off the trailer, settles quickly, and doesn’t seemed bothered by new surroundings. She loves to work and is happy to be ridden outside.
She has the movement for the dressage show ring, but also loves to jump! She’s currently learning her lead changes and picking up on them very quickly. Located 45 min outside of Portland in Gales Creek.
