Meet "Paco" a coming 5 yr old draft cross. He is SUCH a sweetie. I can honestly say I have never met a horse his age with his limited amount of training be so accepting of everything. He does the trail both alone & with others, he is not frightened of llamas, cows, dogs, loud noises, little boys on run-away ponies smacking into his butt...the worst I've ever seen Paco do is start for a second then look. He a thinking horse who will happily go forward and will just as happily "whoa." His trot is amazing! So smooth you won't spill a drop of your wine! Paco will stand quietly in the cross-ties forever, he will load in any trailer, rides the same (without lunging)no matter where he is or how long he "sits". Does great in a pasture or stall. And for you "ladies of a certain age..." Paco will stand like a rock when you have to tuck your flabby bits in...Really, the only reason I rated Paco a "2" is because I doubt any green 4 yr old can be called "bomb-proof". But I will say Paco is as close to this as any horse his age. Currently he is solid at Training Level dressage (could show this Spring) and working at 1st. Paco has also had some exposure to jumping both in an arena and out in the field and seems to enjoy it. He could probably hilltop right now and I feel Paco would make a lovely field hunter in time. He is truly a perfect partner for the person who wants to do abit of everything with their horse and be safe doing it. He is extremely "social" and will trot to meet you at the gate if you bring a cookie. No cookie? Then he'll just walk...because he just LOVES attention. Recent clean x-rays available.
