Here is the sort of competition horse you would hope to find in Ireland! A sound, sensible and comfortable horse that shows natural brilliance at an early age.

Registered Irish Draught Sport Horse mare (inspected and approved by Irish inspectors), 16 hands, 5 years old, by Registered Irish Draught stallion, Hello Paddy by Rakish Paddy out of registered Thoroughbred mare, Delta Lassie by stakes winner sire, Bold Laddie.

Rakish Paddy jumped internationally in Europe and was also sire of Supreme Dublin show winner who went on to become one of Ireland’s top Grand Prix dressage horses, Claggan Roxy Music.

Paddy’s Island Lassie competed and placed in Starter and Entry level eventing last year at three-day and two-day events with minimal schooling. At her first event clinic she had absolutely no hesitation going into water, over ditches and up and down banks. It's in her blood!

Her rolling canter, natural suspension at trot, and big overtrack at walk earn her 8s and 7s in the dressage phase. Her dressage training has not been skimped. She is already confirmed in lateral work.

She has also done 2 ft. 6 schooling jumper rounds and can jump equally well on grass or sand. With more training she will easily handle bigger courses – she has scope, coordination like a cat and is very bold. The picture of her jumping the small oxer shows she could easily jump something twice that size. The photo of her coming out of the water is at a clinic last summer as a four year-old - her first time ever on an event course, her first jumping clinic and the first time being introduced to water. Quite amazing!

She is a character, and is looking for a competent rider to advance her skills in show jumping or eventing.

She has very good conformation – strong loins, good neck set, and a powerhouse engine. She is a big 16 hands. Typically Irish, she is extremely solid with ample barrel and bone. She is sound and has no vices. She has particularly good feet. She is an easy keeper. She is fine to trailer, clip, shoe, and bath. She is up to date (January) with all her shots, West Nile booster, teeth floated and recent negative Coggins.

Her older owner/rider is not allowed to jump anymore. This mare would be most suited to an eventing or jumping home.
