Patrik is a pleasure to have as a foal on our property- always curious and up for a visit. He exudes the confidence of an aristocrat and his presence commands attention. There is a natural athleticism displayed as he plays- he's constantly cantering tight circles and his flying lead changes are accurate and a breeze for him. Right from birth there is a wonderful amount of natural strength built into his core/loin that is not a usual characteristic of foals. He has 3 extremely coordinated gaits as most Ferro and Apache colts possess.
Olympic Ferro needs no introduction- his Olympic accomplishments have successfully been inserted into his offspring. With more than 40 licensed sons, the best known are Metall, Negro, and Rousseau. His grand-sons and grand-daughters are always at the very top of the sport across the globe; Valegro (by Negro) and Uthopia (by Metall) were part of the London 2012 Olympic gold-medall-winning team, with Valegro’s success in sport being unbelievable. Three-time world record holder, and multi-medal winner who has not been beaten at a championship since 2011, Valegro retired in 2016 as the undisputed king of the dressage arena. Uthopia is a widely successful stallion as well, and is one of six licensed sons from Metall, who also sired Special D. Rousseau has a number of licensed sons, among them Ampère and Blue Hors Zack, both outstanding stallions in their own right.
Apache's Diva is by Apache and Donnerball and was imported from Germany in 2015. Her sire Apache competed Gran Prix internationally and won the 2012 KWPN Stallion Competition with Emmelie Scholtens and in the same year they were the Dutch Small Tour Champions. They were members of the Dutch team at the 2018 World Equestrian Games and placed 8th at the 2019 World Cup Finals in Gothenburg. They won bronze at the 2019 Dutch Grand Prix Championship. Donnerball is not heard of as much in North America, however almost every broodmare barn in Germany has at least a few mares from Donnerball's band. Donnerball was I-f premium stallion at the Oldenburg licensing 2002. In 2003, he became, after winnings in tests for young riding horses, Oldenburg Champion of young riding horses. In 2004, he took the title of Oldenburg Vice Champion and Vice Bundeschampion. In Verden, he became the sensational Vice World Champion of five-year old dressage horses 2005. In 2013, he was winning under Kristina Sprehe in international Grand Prixs and Gran Prix Spécial.
