Perfect allrounder, suitable for Amateur, Teenager, novice rider, beginner or as first horse. Very handsome and impressive gentle giant. Easy to handle in every way - tie, bathe, clip, load, shoe, etc. lunges beautifully, absolutely no vices and has extremely good ground and stable manners. Does not spook, rear or buck and can safely be ridden in a large open field with no problem in just a snaffle. Makes no difference if he is ridden everyday or once a week as his behaviour and temperament are always the same. He is calm and completely uncomplicated, the same at a show as he is at home.
Was imported from the UK where he was awarded a first premium as a colt and branded, but was not broken in until 6 and therefore has low mileage. Novice lady bought him and only sold him on to me as she was going back to university.
Have owned him 3 years and he has done a little jumping during this time (recently did a combined training event where he went clear show jumping and was 2nd overall). My daughter has jumped him over 3ft6 in the past and he has done some cross country schooling too. He would be perfect out hunting as he is easy to bring back from a gallop and can trail ride alone or in company. He therefore has untapped potential as a jumper, hunter or eventer and has the talent to go much further, but would obviously need further education over fences.
He has mainly done dressage and is well schooled and easy to ride, with a comfortable canter and a trot thats easy to sit. Has earned 67%, 68%, 69% & 70% this year at first level schooling shows and between 60% and 66% at recognised shows. He is about to start competing at 2nd level and is training 3rd level movements at home. Just started changes.
He is ridden in a simple double jointed snaffle in both dressage and jumping, but has been introduced to a double bridle and accepts this no problem.
He has excellent confirmation, built uphill with big neck and good topline, is extremely fit, muscular, with good bone and strong limbs. He has excellent feet and has never been lame in 6 years. Have not had the vet out to him other than for his vaccinations. Has never been injected in his hocks or anywhere else. Does not need any special feed or supplements and is a very good doer and needs little hard feed.
The only reason this much loved horse is very sadly for sale is that I want to concentrate on upper level dressage before I get too old and he could offer someone else so much more and teach them so much as a wonderful confidence giver, jumper, hunter, true allrounder or just fun, safe horse.
Included in the sale price is his brand new jumping saddle (used about 10 times only), two bridles, saddle pads, boots, blankets, leather halter, full travel kit, etc. (All worth in the region of $4000!) You will not need to buy anything for him other than a grooming box!
He is lifetime registered with USEF, USDF & USHJA
Drastically reduced price from $22,000 to $15,000 for quick sale as new horse on the way and don't have the room!
