Piper is a sweet mare with a great work ethic. When I bought her two years ago she had been trained in western ranch riding and had no prior dressage training. She was recently entered in her first recognized dressage show with a JR/YR showing her, scoring a 63.6% at second level. She is currently schooling 3rd level, and is learning flying lead changes. A barn favorite, Piper’s walk, trot and canter are all super smooth and she is fun to ride! She is a very willing horse and is light and responsive to the aids. Piper has good movement for the dressage arena and is very balanced in her build and movement. With her history of being trained and ridden western, she also has potential to excel at Western dressage.
At 14.1 hands, Piper is the perfect pony size for a JR/YR or petite adult. She is best suited for an intermediate rider as she can get quick at the canter if given conflicting aids from the rider, but she has no buck, rear or spin.
Piper adjusts easily to new environments, has great ground manners, stands for the farrier and vet, and is an easy keeper. She loads on the trailer easily and I have trailered her regularly for lessons. She does well being pastured with mares or geldings and is happy with 24/7 turnout or being stalled. She hacks out alone or with other horses, is UTD on all routine vet care, and has no history of lameness or illness.
This little mare is going to make someone very happy!
Price will increase with training and showing.
