2016 Reserve Champion 5 year-old Jumper - Young Horse Show Series Finals: received "Excellent" for overall jumping style.
2011 REGISTERED HOLSTEINER GELDING by QUINAR out of imported showjumper mare, who is from the #1 mareline in the WORLD (same as Myrtille Paulois, #1 showjumper in the world!)
He has a great work ethic, is a quick learner and is very level-headed, also he has the same scope and form over fences as his exceptional sire.
This talented, amazingly well-bred bay 2011 Holsteiner gelding by Quinar out of the exceptional mare, Splendeur de Vie (Narcos II x Quouglof Rouge) is a unique opportunity to purchase 100% imported bloodlines without paying $10,000 for importation. Born 4/17/11 via embryo transfer. Registered Holsteiner.
Quasar has the quietest mind, big movement with slow cadence and a sweet, tractable disposition. He stands for the farrier, bathes and loads like a schoolmaster. He could be a great 3-ring horse: Jr/Am Hunter, Eq or Jumper. Also has definite Derby potential.
Quasar’s dam, Splendeur de Vie, is a Selle Francais mare by Narcos II out of a Quouglof Rouge mare, imported from Normandy, France. Qualified easily for the National 5 year-old Young Jumper Championship (1.20meter). She received Premium Foundation Mare status with the AHHA and was Reserve Champion of her Mare Performance Test.
Quasar’s grandfather, Narcos II made a brilliant start to his international career with Eric Navet at all the major European venues and also in the U.S. Chosen to compete in the Seoul Olympics and had been a regular competitor in international competitions from Calgary to Hickstead. In 1991, he won the European Young Riders Championship. Has won numerous puissance classes, which included a record jump of 2.25meters. Ridden by Florian Angot in 1994, he won the European Junior Championship. For several years, Narcos II has been placed as Best Sire of Young Horses for four, five and six-year-olds at Fontainebleau. Narcos II has great strength and a remarkable stride, a royal canter, unquestionable suppleness and balance and a very good back. He earned Elite French Stallion. He was #4 in the world as the best Sire thanks to his offsprings' winnings in Grand Prix.
Quasar’s dam-line is one of the best (if not THE best) for production of Selle Francais international winners: Mytille du Paulois, Lord de Theize, Gracieux Ardent to name a few. Mytille du Paulois was World Champion (2013)! Lord de Theize, a 75% cousin to Splendeur de Vie, competed at the 2010 WEG, advancing into the Final Rounds. Gracieux Ardent was the French National Champion of 2006 and stands stud at the Haras Nationaux (French National Stud). Splendeur's dam, Kantate, is his 100% sister-in-blood.
