Imported from the Netherlands in August 2020, Quintus is a gorgeous KFPS-registered seven-year-old Friesian with a perfect sport-type conformation. He is the TOTAL PACKAGE – the ideal combination of beauty, brains and ability. He is sweetheart of a horse with a darling temperament and is an exceptional dressage talent, eager and quick to learn, with suppleness of movement and fantastic impulsion.

Quintus is exquisitely bred, with an incredible pedigree and impeccable bloodlines. His sire is one of the most famous Friesian stallions – Tsjalle 454 SPORT ELITE PREF AAA. Dutch judges rave over top champion Tsjalle because of his flexibility, tremendous use of his hind legs and superior conformation. He brings his hind legs perfectly under his hindquarters and makes great use of his back. Tsjalle also has a lovely uphill canter, passed nicely on to Quintus, and is known for his honest and kind character. Tsjalle is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful defined head and neck, qualities also seen in Quintus. Quintus’s dam, Geartsje Van De Doezumer Tocht, is a first-class STER mare who was sired by the champion approved stallion, Tsjalf 443 SPORT, also awarded numerous honors. Progeny from these bloodlines have gone on to successful dressage careers.

Quintus has beautifully balanced gaits. Impulsion, action, flexibility and extension define his movements. Professionally trained in dressage since December of 2020, Quintus has been an excellent student, progressing easily and steadily through the movements and up the dressage levels, currently completing Third Level. He has amazing potential to go all the way to the top - the sky is the limit with this breathtaking boy for either an amateur or professional.
