Looking for a talented Young Rider, Brentina Cup hopeful, ambitious amateur, or an up & coming professional capable of creating a successful partnership with a talented, confirmed (yet still more potential) Grand Prix horse.

Rampart is a rare son of Blue Hors Cavan, the mount that catapulted the international careers of both Lars Peterson and Andreas Helgstrand. Cavan was 2nd in the 2002 WEG and competed in the Olympics with both Lars and Andreas. Rampart was bred thru Oak Hill Ranch, the winner of USDF Breeder Award in 2012 and 2014 and also the breeder of Heather Blitz's Paragon and Ripline.

Rampart has only been lightly competed and was ranked 3rd in California as a 5 year old and has been Champion or Reserve Champion at the other 3 state/regional championships he attended including at Grand Prix. He received scores of 8 at his 3rd ever ride at Grand Prix. (Only has competed 5 times at Grand Prix--5th show was championships). Rampart has been the National NADWA (North American Danish WB Asssociation) Champion four times and at every level he competed enough to get nationally ranking scores in. (1st, 2nd, 4th and GP)

He has been owned by same owner since he was 9 months old and has remained very sound and healthy. He was not started under saddle until he was 4 yrs old and has very "low miles" considering his accomplishments in the show ring. He has been given joint supplements and other nutritional supplements to ensure longevity since he was two years old. He is a very loving, affectionate and playful horse. He is very forward in general (although never dirty or nasty) and will do best with someone with confidence and some dressage experience to ride. He can be ridden in a snaffle or double bridle (competed at Grand Prix at championships in a snaffle) or even can go bitless.

Owner is starting a business and regrets not having time to maintain an FEI horse and continue to develop Rampart to his full potential. Rampart is a "once in a lifetime" type of horse and will be sold only to the right competitive home (note: price negotiable for qualified home) He hauls, clips, bathes, etc with ease and only minor vice of cribbing after treats/supplements. Has never needed a collar and does not do it persistently. No history of colic.

Note--- scanning xrays (complete hock, front feet, scanning view of both stifles) taken August 20, 2015 can be forwarded to your DVM for review--quite impressive for GP horse/age, etc.) No other xrays taken prior other than hock films from 2 years ago taken during a dental float (clean) as he has never needed films to be taken.

Why buy the hope of getting to Grand Prix when less than 2% of horses actually ever get there--why not buy the sure thing. Look at the success of the young Spanish rider at the World Cup on Painted Black at 18 years old-- he never looked better! (for example...16 out of 18 horses at the 2015 World Cup were 14 years and older)
