Rare Ink RS - Exceptional black 2021 KWPN-NA colt by the world famous dressage stallion Totilas. Totilas is considered to be one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in history, the first horse to score above 90 in dressage competition, and the former holder of the world record for the highest dressage score in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Going into the 2010 World Equestrian Games, Totilas and his rider Edward Gal had achieved multiple world record scores in international competition, for which they were called Rock Stars in the Horse World" (Wikipedia). Totilas has been passing on his talent for the FEI movements, rideability, and stellar character.
Rare Ink's dam India Ink is a top quality mare by Devon Heir out of an imported Obelisk-El Corona dam. She came from Bert Rutten's breeding program in the Netherlands. This dam line has produced a lot of performance horses, and India Ink herself has half siblings who were international 3 day horses, one who competed in Europe, and a National dressage young horse champion in Thailand. The granddam's full brother competed at Grand Prix dressage. Bert Rutten purposefully built this line on jumper blood for the great canter which comes through in every generation.
Rare Ink has three excellent gaits and an active hind leg. He has an exemplary character- he is a charming, sweet boy who knows his name, comes when he's called, has been well handled, and is very cooperative to work with. He promises to be a willing, pleasant partner on his way to Grand Prix, and is looking for a top performance home with an FEI professional or an ambitious amateur.
Rare Ink is expected to finish at 16.3h. Located in Southern California. Serious inquiries welcome!
