If you want a Friesian, because you want a big black Baroque horse with a long thick mane and tail, but you also want the movement and jumping power of a warmblood, read this: Night is a six year old smoky black warmblood mare with a crescent moon on her forehead and one white foot. She was an "Oops!" baby by our young Hanoverian stallion by Royal Prince--one of the best bloodlines in the German studbook--out of our registered Tennessee Walking Horse mare. Night's mother is a cremello, so Night carries the dilute gene and can have both buckskin and palomino foals. Night is eligible to be registered as an American warmblood. She stands 16.1 hh, with straight, unblemished legs and textbook conformation. She has thick mane and her tail drags the ground! Night has the movement and athleticism of her Hanoverian father and the sweet, laid-back personality of her Tennessee Walking Horse mother. Night was born in our front yard and has been handled since birth. She has been ridden regularly since she was three years old, on trails, down busy roads, over jumps, through the pond and in local shows. She jumps 3', picks up both canter leads easily, loads, ties and is great about her feet. Night is the horse we put guest riders on.
