Our breeding goals can be summed up as “Grandma’s first Grand Prix Horse” and this colt fits that better than anything else we’ve put on the ground so far! (contains Rubignon, Glorioso Noir, Weltmeyer)
Rebar is by a super quiet stallion (I've given beginner lessons on him) Rendezvous ESH. Rende won the American Hanoverian Society 2015 Yearling Futurity Champion (national award) and site champion at Hilltop Farm Inc. In 2016 he was 4th in the nation for 2yo colts, and again site champion at Hilltop. Rende is now 6yo schooling third level. He showed last year in first level scoring up to 72%in first level test 3. (We did not show this year due to covid). He also jumps, trail rides, gives lessons, and even started on working cows. He will continue in Dressage as he matures and already shows talent for lead changes, and collection. His canter and walk are real highlights.
Rendezvous ESH is Rubignon x Weltmeyer x Domingo. Rubignon had a successful international GP Dressage career, Weltmeyer was in the top ten producers of international Dressage horses for many years and is known as “the Stallion of the Century”, and Domingo, a lesser known D-Line stallion, was also a successful GP horse.
Rebar is out of Copenhagen Angel (“Spit”). Spit is a lovely, balanced, friendly, absolutely beautiful mare. Her expression draws people in, and she’s never spooked a day in her life. Spit is by recently passed Hanoverian stallion Glorioso Noir. Glorioso was a 17.2 hand Hunter/Dressage type and was one of the last exceptional G-Line stallions, known for trainability, power, and versatility. Spit’s mom, not to be underrated, is a well balanced gorgeous AQHA mare, Joes Classy Cruiser (Chassy). This mare represents what people used to love about Quarter Horses- back when they were sound, versatile, and bombproof. Whenever someone says there is no such thing as a bombproof horse, we say they never met Chassy! We used her for exhibitions where my husband would put his lariat right up around her flanks, while galloping around cracking a bullwhip. She was unflappable and had one of those easy lopes (NOT western pleasure, more ranch) that you could ride all day. My son was 2yo and could lead her anywhere. She got her amazing character from the infamous sire, Sugar Bars, which is the inspiration for the name Rebar. Chassy is still sound and working at a theraputic program at 23yo.
Rebar has near perfect legs, uphill movement, and a quiet curious nature. He is balanced and well organized for his age. He has a mid forehead slow swirl if you believe in such things (means smart, quiet and easy)
We can offer kindercare field board with quality handling, and starting later if needed.
