Lexi is a 2009 Westfalen mare with Passport trained to Second Level Dressage. She can also do Hunter Equitation! She has a wonderful gentle disposition and excellent ground manners. She is affectionate, she loves to work, and tries hard to please her rider. She leads, loads, ties, grooms perfectly as well as good for vet & farrier.

This mare is very sensitive and requires a rider with firm but gentle aids; she goes willingly forward whenever asked. She has wonderful skills under saddle, knows the lateral movements, great extensions at trot and canter, (she is learning piaffe!) & would be perfect for an amateur ready to move up. We ride near a busy road & she ignores all traffic including tractors, big trucks, flapping plastic, and motorcycles. At 15.3 she is a good size for a smaller to medium sized rider or ride her now and breed later.

She was bred in 2020: she was perfect -settled on first cycle, foaled on time & was a great Mom. Lexi's filly is in Florida. Her foal Freya was judged Grand Champion Barock Pinto at WEC in Ocala by judges from the Netherlands. See Facebook page: Story Brooke Friesians & Barock Pintos for more information.

As an amateur equestrian, I purchased my first horse when I got my first real job at 25 years old. I have owned over 25 horses over the course of my life, including a number of breeds and disciplines. My daughter was a champion jumper- we spent many years travelling each weekend to horse shows. I have ridden dressage for the last 6 years. Now, at 63, I have a unfortunately developed a degenerative spine condition that will prevent me from future riding. Lexi is a special mare: very affectionate, sensitive and responsive to her rider. She's as flexible as a cat, and, like an eager puppy, she loves to show you all her "tricks". She needs attention and she needs to be ridden. She still has many good years left, and I am hoping to find her someone special who will love her and appreciate her as much as I have.
