Riptide's sire Riverman has been the USEF eventing and jumping sire of the year many times as well as schooling all the grand prix dressage movements.

Reggie's dam Porsche is by the infamous stallion Pablo who produced champion jumping and dressage horse at international level. Porsche's dam sire Contucci was USEF dressage sire of the year multiple times and produced champion dressage horses through the FEI levels.
