This colt presents a super opportunity for someone looking for a prospect that can succeed at the top levels of dressage. He also has lovely flat kneed movement and could excel in the hunter world as both sire and dam had good jumping scores at their Hanoverian Performance Tests.
Just in: the WBFSH Dressage 2008 rankings are in: this colt's grandsire Rohdiamant is in 8th position, damsire Donnerschlag is in 21st position, Donnerhall (great-grandsire) is in #2 position, and Rubinstein (great-grandsire) is in 4th position. Donnerschlag is the only Donnerhall son in the top rankings and Rohdiamant is the only Rubinstein son in the top rankings.
By Royal Prince (Rohdiamant - Prince Thatch xx), who garnered 4th place at the FEI Young Horse World Championships in the 5 year old division with Susanne Hassler (highest placing American entry ever). Currently, Royal Prince has debuted at 4th level with scores to 69% at his first show at that level (www.hilltopfarminc.com). Royal Prince had above average scores for jumping and dressage at his stallion performance test.

Out of SPA/EM Diotima (Donnerschlag [Donnerhall] - Matrose - Wolfsburg), who was imported from Germany after completing her MPT with excellent scores in Verden (9 character, 8 temperment, 8 rideablity, 8 walk, 8 canter, 7 trot, 7 jumping). Shown only twice in the US, Diotima was Reserve Grand Champion of Show, judged by Dr. Ludwig Christmann, Deputy Director of the German Verband. Dr Christmann stated that Diotima was super, especially over the topline and with excellent hindleg activity and very good gaits. At Dressage at Devon, judge Victoire Mandl (Austria) placed Diotima 3rd with an 80.7% just ahead of the former (2003) Grand Champion of Devon and just behind the 2007 and 2008 DAD Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion mares (of the entire show).
Dr. Jochen Wilkens, retired Director of the Hanoverian Verband in Germany stated that Diotima was "spectacular and that we are lucky to have such nice mares such as Diotima in the US". More info on Diotima here: http://www.edgewoodmeadowfarm.com
This colt (born 5/8/2008)shows Royal Prince's trademark walk and canter. His trot is very good, with lots of suspension and a ton of freedom in the shoulder. He combines the best of both parents, with Diotima contributing an excellent uphill build.
