It is no surprise with Reinaldo's impressive breeding (Chin Chin x Cream On Top) that he really has it all! Grand Prix potential and suitable for AA/Jr/Pro.
He is a well-balanced young horse who despite his undeniable power, has been extremely easy to start and bring along under saddle. He is brave, kind, and steady under-saddle. He has been very lightly shown and is a pleasure from start to finish. He has never offered a spook, buck, rear etc. He hacked around the busy Tryon show grounds like he does it every weekend, with ZERO prep. In the barn, he is a pleasure to be around. He is a cuddly horse, while also being incredibly polite.
Reinaldo shows incredible promise in the jump chute, he is careful, scopey, and consistent in his technique. I think with his combination of temperment and talent, he really could go in any direction. At this stage, he is a quiet kick ride, but he is also quite green and with more training he could become forward enough for the jumper ring.
Under-saddle vidoes are available through whatsapp.
Reinaldo's sire:
Chin Chin competed successfully for more than five years at international competitions including; 5 years at World Cup competitions, two Olympic Games both Seoul and Barcelona and two times at the World Equestrian Games.
Chin Chin had a very impressive jumping career. Together with his former owner and rider, Jaime Azcarraga from Mexico, this combination participated for years at international level. In 1988, Jaime Azcarraga won five consecutive times in the North American League on the World Cup circuit and competed in Seoul at the Olympic Games where they placed sixth individually. Four years later, they competed again at the Olympics in Barcelona. In 1990, Chin Chin and Jaime Azcarraga started in the first edition of the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. In 1989 and 1990, they were placed in the final of the World Cup in both Dortmund and Tampa. At the same time, they competed at international jumping competitions during which the scope, character and the suppleness of Chin Chin always aided his determined but amateur rider.
The offspring of Chin Chin really make the dream of their pedigree come true. Just to mention a few there are; Phin Phin, Cholula, Chapala, Querly Chin, Tolano van het Riethof, Triomphe de Muze, Ta Belle van Sombeke and of course Riot Gun van de Paddenborre, who was winner of the Grand Prix of Lisbon. Tedechine Sept who was placed several times in the GP of Indio, USA.
His offspring place high at horse shows and they sell for high prices in auctions around Europe.
Reinaldo's Dam Sire:
Cream on Top has not only proven his own quality by competing up to Grand Prix, but his offspring are showing time and again that the quality in this line is extraordinary.
So many of his babies are showing top results in both the Hunter ring in North America and the Jumper rings in both North America and Europe. A top example of his offspring is Sandstone, currently ridden by Scott Stewart. And the eye-catching stallion Creme de le Creme who has become incredibly popular with American breeders for his style and temperment.
Reinaldo has a full set of clean XRAYS available, including back and neck, from his import in the fall of 2023.
