Beautiful and Quiet Prospect for Dressage, Eventing, Fox Hunting, Trail Riding, and so much more!

3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Rembrandt! Lovingly called Remy in the barn, he is a stunning coming three year old, 16.0hh (and still growing) Friesian/Percheron cross gelding. At three-quarters Friesian and only one-quarter Percheron, he has the look of a purebred Friesian. Beautiful black coat and that flowy Friesian mane and tail! Great confirmation, lovely build, and just the sweetest personality. Sourced by our client to be a project and sales horse, Rembrandt is a fantastic prospect for dressage, eventing, fox hunting, trail riding and so much more! As a Friesian/Percheron cross, Rembrandt can be registered into several registries including the Friesian Sport Horse Registry, the Friesian Heritage Horse Registry, the Friesian Sport Horse Association, and the Friesian Horse Society (just to name a few of many!).

Rembrandt has been officially started under saddle. He is a very kind, easygoing, and safe prospect for many disciplines. Rembrandt is currently in full training and advancing very quickly. In the next sixty days of training, we see Rembrandt being solid walk and trot under saddle. After that, cantering should come easily under saddle too. And even though Rembrandt is new to life as a riding horse, he is already an expert at groundwork. He lunges really well and long lines too (and over obstacles and little jumps). He is excellent at free lunging too, both in a smaller indoor and a larger outdoor ring. Rembrandt has very good recall and learning several voice cues from his training on the ground. He is very accepting of new environments and unbothered by his farm’s low hanging power lines over his outdoor ring (that produce a loud humming sound). Super calm with a very quiet eye.

On top of that, Rembrandt is a ten mover! Lovely gaits, including a nice over track in his walk, suspension in his trot, and a powerful uphill canter. While Rembrandt could really go in any direction, his calling might be in the dressage court. But with his easygoing manner, he could be an all-around horse too. Trail riding, fox hunting, adventures with friends, this one will do it all. Rembrandt also recently met a blowup unicorn (toy) for a fun training day and he could have cared less! He played with a tarp for the first time and many times thereafter too. He easily walked over it, didn’t care that it was wrapped around him, and even jumped with it tied to him and waving behind him in the wind. At one point, it fell off and he could have cared less. Rembrandt is so quiet, he was unimpressed with it all! You can’t beat the brain on this incredible horse. He is as close to bombproof as a coming three year old could be!

Rembrandt is handled daily and leads perfectly. He stands nicely on the cross ties for grooming, baths, and appointments with the vet and farrier. Currently barefoot and up to date on vaccines, coggins, deworming, and dental. No vices. Very easy in turnout, as he is currently turned out with a 28 year old retired horse. He enjoys his morning naps. Happy to live in or out. He loves attention, being groomed, and is very much a loving pet. Easy on the trailer and loads right up too. He is also a fast study and very easily learning to become a riding horse. He will continue on in full training under saddle until sold! And, Rembrandt also has driving experience!

Rembrandt will make a lovely riding horse for many different types of riders with his easygoing personality. Quiet enough for an ammy to bring along, but special enough for a professional too! Anyone shopping for a quiet and easygoing draft horse will love Rembrandt. This stunning youngster can also stay in full training as part of the sale and can be made into your dream horse! Rembrandt is located at a private farm in Jeffersonton, Virginia.
