Remi is the perfect mount for a petite AA looking to do a bit of everything with - mid level dressage, lower level eventing, and trail. He is extraordinarily kind and safe, and is a total pocket pony. He loves people and always wants to please his person. He has an incredible work ethic and always gives you his all. This horse has an exceptional mind and is 100% trustworthy in any situation.
Remi has successfully competed through Novice level eventing and has schooled some training questions. He does it all - water, ditches, and banks, and loves his job. He is best suited for the Intro, BN, and Novice levels, but with the right rider he could go Training. As a four year old Remi won the Sr. Intro division at Camelot Horse Trials. At age 5 he won the Sr. BN at Eventful Acres Horse Trials. In the fall of 2013 he started competing at the Novice level at USEA recognized events. That year he took home third in Sr. Novice Rider at Twin Rivers and qualified for the 2014 Area IV Novice Rider Championship. He also took home second place in the 2014 Sr Novice division at Eventful Acres. Remi has schooled extensively at Woodside, Twin Rivers, Woodland Stallion Station, Camelot Horse Park, and Eventful Acres. He has consistently done XC and stadium clinics with Yves Sauvignon from age 4 to the present. Remi is consistently scoring in the high twenties to low thirties in dressage. He is very talented, smart, and powerful. He has a naturally beautiful free walk, a flashy expressive trot, and a balanced canter that you can sit forever. Remi has been on countless trail rides and is brave and safe. He has been used to take babies out on the trail for the first time, or out on the XC course for the first time.
Remi was bred by Mystic Oak Ranch in Plymouth, CA. He is by the Warmblood/Friesian cross Cadence in Color, and out of a Morgan sport horse mare grand sired by Dragonfire Kirin (brother to one of the greatest Morgan eventers of all time, Dragonfire Kublakhan). Remi's sire, Cadence, has shown successfully through Grand Prix with Heidi Chote and was named by the American Warmblood Society as Sire of the Year in 2011. Remi is registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse & Sporthorse International Registry, as well as the USEA as "My Hidden Agenda".
Remi is a complete gentleman. He has impeccable ground manners. He has never offered to rear or buck under saddle from the moment he was broke until the present. Perfect manners away from home. Loads in any trailer, perfect manners for the vet and farrier. Gets along well with other horses. Remi has had one owner his entire life (a veterinarian) after he left the farm where he was bred and has always had the best of care. Remi has excellent feet, and big bone. He is UTD on all vet care. Has never had a lame day in his life.
Remi is very, very loved and is only for sale to the perfect home, where he will be just as loved and well cared for as he has always been.
