Sonata is a stunning premium Oldenburg mare who was awarded the coveted ‘Foal of Distinction’ at her inspection. She is a very light and modern type with lots of chrome and very expressive gaits. The mare is a solid 2nd level schoolmaster and training 3rd level dressage. She has just started her hunter/jumper training doing very well with the fundamentals.
She was used as a broodmare while her owner was at university and training for work. Her first foal by Capone I, Donny, is a very competitive hunter/jumper with an impressive show record and currently owned by the Martinoffs. Her second foal, Corleone, was awarded premium status at his inspection and is coming along nicely in his training as a dressage prospect.
The mare loads well, clips, is quiet for the farrier and vet, and does great in group turnout. Vaccinations, wormer, and teeth were last done in January 2021. The mare has never had any injuries, lameness issues, or colic.
She would be perfect for an adult amateur looking to do low level dressage/hunter/jumper or for someone looking to breed high-level offspring. Her owner bought her when she was 2 years old and has reluctantly decided to sell her because she wants to start a family and doesn’t have the time to ride her.
