Urso, is correct; has gorgeous uphill movement - elevated trot & slow rolling canter; striking black points; a quick learner with ground work; AND is bred for barefoot hardiness. He single ties for his meals and grooming. His sire is imported 16.1hh mahogony bay APSL Lusitano Stallion, Tejo II. Trained to Haute Ecole, Tejo II passes his gaits' balanced slow cadence, substance, and easy going, gentle temperament to his offspring. He is an ambassador for the Iberian horse in Classical riding exhibitions throughout the US. Based on his height at birth and growth over the winter, we are estimating Urso's mature size to be 16.1hh (we have saved a half sister to this colt who is 15.3hh and out of a smaller dam. The Colt's Dam, Soante is completely sound, kind, and possesses: lovely gaits; and the prized Amer. Bashkir barefoot hardiness, substance, versatility, and trot that you can sit for hours. She was schooling on the trails with low natural obstacles; and w/t/c, leg yield, shoulder-in in the arena before she was bred this past spring. A smoke black, she carries the dilute gene for color.
Soante's Colt is eligible to be registered in IALHA, CSI, & Iberian Sporthorse registries.
Because we have shifted focus from breeding to board & training, he is currently offered for sale at the very reduced price of $4000. Price increases with maturation.
