Gorgeous 17yo jet black imported German Oldenburg Mare. This mare is an absolute doll, and does not look 17. She has fantastic bloodlines and a record of producing beautiful foals. I bought her a year ago with the intention of breeding her. She passed her pre-breeding vet inspections (ultrasound, cytology, culture, etc.) with flying colors and the vet said she looked fantastic. I tried breeding her twice with frozen semen and once with fresh chilled, however, and did not succeed. I did not use regumate, and one of the doses of frozen was poor quality. I cannot afford to try breeding her again, so I am selling her to a good home only!

You could try breeding her or doing an embryo transfer. The Rikki- dam line is a very old and very sought after damline in Germany (I was told this by the ladies in the GOV office). Her pedigree is outstanding and she has both her States Premium Status and Elite Mare status. She is also approved for breeding with the German Westphalian society and the American Hanoverian Society. She has produced numerous award winning offspring, including the approved Oldenburg stallion Rasta. I was not able to get her pregnant on 3 tries, so I can only say that she is a great trail horse or dressage horse for a beginner. She was trained originally through the lower levels of dressage (1st or 2nd level). She is so easy to ride, she would make a great beginner dressage horse or husband trail horse. She's extremely calm and easy going. I've taken her out on trails and she falls asleep when I stop, but isn't difficult to get moving and has a lovely ground-covering trot. She has not been ridden much in the past few months, but I can jump on her bareback and always feel safe. She is currently located at my grandfather's farm in Mississippi.
