2009 Hanoverian Filly by Rascalino

Rosabella is a very fancy filly from topnotch dressage bloodlines. Her sire Rascalino is a glorious black son of Rotspon, born in 2001. He won his 70-day private stallion test at Adelheidsdorf in 2004, with a total point score of 148.29 points and led in the partial rideability index with the score of 153.37 points. Rascalino's sire Rotspon was the absolute champion of his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in October 1998, with the best score in the partial rideability. He has produced numerous entrants in foal auctions and riding horse auctions in Verden. Romanze, the champion mare of the 2002 Ratje-Niebuhr Show in Verden is one of his finest from 65 state premium mares to date. Around twenty sons have also been approved, of whom Re Primeur FRH and Royal Blend were each awarded the Burchard Müller Prize as the best stallions of their respective age classes. Rotspon is among the leading dressage sires Germany-wide in the FN breeding value rating. Rascalino derives from a venerable Hanoverian mareline, which produced the stallions Donnermann (private stallion Netherlands), Faland (private stallion Hanover), Frapant-Star (private stallion Lithuania), Frisbee (Dillenburg state stallion), Gouverneur (private stallion USA), Waldmeister (Schwaiganger state stallion) and Winnipeg I (private stallion Sweden). Rosabella's dam is Frolichkeit by Wertherson, a stunningly beautiful son of the great Werther. Wertherson competed very successfully at the FEI level of dressage. Fro’s dam Gutte Wette is a German Oldenburg mare by the marvelous dressage sire Grundstein I (above). Grundstein I sired 17 fully approved sons. His dressage index reached 178. Grundstein’s lines include the classic ones of Grande, Sermon (Senator), and Gotthard. Gutte Wette’s full brother Grand Giraud is a highly ranked dressage horse (ranked 89th out of the world’s top 100 dressage horses in 1994). Gutte Wette’s full sister Wunschtraum produced a stallion son by Contender who was licensed in Oldenburg in 1999. Gutte’s dam Walinga was a full sister to the 1977 Elite Hanoverian stallion Winston by Wettstreit out of their Thoroughbred dam Daffy Toban xx. Rosabella is a substantial, yet elegant filly. She should finish fairly tall, as most of Fro's foals have ended up 16.2 and taller. She has a bright and sunny disposition, a very good hindleg and excellent balance. She will make either a very nice dressage mare, possibly a hunter or a valuable broodmare. Her price includes full registration with both AHS and USEF. Her price has been dropped because I have too many foals this year and cannot keep any more fillies.
