******Last summer Lina was lightly ridden, then left to sit for 7 mos due to owner circumstances. Her first ride back after SEVEN MONTHS off was uneventful...no buck, no shy, no silliness. Since mid-Feb. of 2014 to early April Lina has gotten another 15 or so rides from 4 different riders. Each time she is reliable, willing and honest. This was the very first time this rider had ever sat on Lina...she had done NO training w/her.*******
"Rosalina" is an elegant, modern, absolutely lovely dark bay daughter of Rosenthal. Rosenthal barely needs an introduction; as one of the flagship stallions of Highpoint Hanoverians, Rosenthal is well proven as a producer of champion hunters, dressage horses, Premium mares and even stallion candidates. His blend of Rubinstein I brings rideability and a good mind, while Karon brings sheer beauty and grace. "Rosalina's" dam side is equally illustrious when it comes to dressage talent. "MMB Rosinante" is by Rubino Bellisimo,(1derful.com stallion), himself also a German tested/approved son of Rubinstein. "Rubi" completed his 11 month Celle testing with excellent scores (while barefoot!), before being sold and brought to America, where he went on to be a highly successful GP show horse.
On the bottom side we have Bolero blood through Rosinante's damsire, Batido. A son of Bolero, Batido was part of the Silver Medal winning US Pan Am team, ridden by Guenter Seidel. He also carried Nicole Perry to a bronze medal in the Young Rider's Championships.
Truly, the merging of Rubinstein I & Bolero blood brings a dressage rider the closest thing to a guarantee of rideability and good nature as is possible in breeding. So far she has been a delight to handle -- extremely personable and always the first one to leave the herd and come visit. Her dam, who was bred here, was always the same way -- easy to handle, easy to start, no big issues. So far Rosalina's dam has had 3 foals by 3 different stallions and all exhibit the same excellent minds, good gaits, and a real desire to be a partner. Both of Rosalina's brothers belong to middle-aged, female ammies and have been started with minimal help from pros. In the summer of 2013 Lina was entered her first In-Hand show and won the Mare Championship over a far more seasoned 5yr old, who had numerous Championships to her credit!! Judge was well-known DAD judge Wm.Solyntjes.
Check my other ads to see "SEF" and "FINN MAC COOL",both half-siblings to Rosalina.
One of the best brains I've ever seen in a horse! Rosalina could be handled by an experienced ammie, even a confident beginner working with a trainer. Naturally the horse can only be as good as it's training, but I feel Lina would be safe with very little (or none) additional riding. She is THAT good.
She's one who could do it all: trail, eventing (she seems to like to jump!), dressage or just being a buddy.
For a giggle, check out her self-loading video on YouTube on my channel.
Last summer, after only SIX rides we took her to a schooling show where she did a very respectable Intro 1 test! She is just the perfect love.
