Roserrow "Fiona" is a 5 year old mare who was bred in Canada and brought to the US as a yearling. She stands 17.2 hands tall and can take up a long leg! While she is big she does not ride like a big horse. She is very light and manageable in the contact and off the leg. She has great balance for a big 5 year old with incredibly comfortable and manageable gaits! This mare was the USDF Region 5 Reserve Champion in the Open Training Level Division in 2017. Her show record from 2017 includes multiple scores at Training Level and in Materiale Classes over 70%. This mare does well in new places and has always been a good traveler and show horse. She is an in your pocket lovey type mare and really bonds with her rider. She has a cute and comical personality which comes out more and more as she gains confidence. She loves to be groomed and enjoys her time with her human! She has a real proficiency to learn quickly and try hard during her training sessions. She prefers a light, kind and confident rider. I think she would be best suited to an AA or YR in a program with a good trainer! She is currently schooling leg yield, shoulder in, haunches in and counter canter with ease while learning and improving her half passes, walk to canter and canter to walk transitions, walk pirouettes and shortening and lengthening within the gaits. I believe this mare is a promising horse for the future with the right partner!
