Royal Beth
Good looks, perfect conformation, superb movement, a friendly and willing personality, and a pedigree worthy of champions! What’s not to like about this stunning Conway II filly?
Royal Beth’s pedigree is studded with outstanding performance horses. https://www.horsetelex.com/horses/pedigree/2466483/royal-beth
Born 5 March 2023, “Beth” is sired by Conway II, a former Grand Prix jumper whose career was cut short by injury. Conway II is a son of Caretino, who also sired Casall. Conway II is known to pass on his calm and willing temperament, which he has done with this filly. Conway II’s dam, States Premium mare Wodka II is known as one of the most significant mares in Holstein. She also produced Conway I and Arturo, who were both breeding sires and had jumped Grand Prix level. She also produced a daughter Carassina who jumps internationally with Lars Bak Andersen.
Beth’s dam, Lagertha, has shown uncanny jumping ability and promise. We plan to compete her locally and beyond. She is sired by the Contender son Contefino, a well established sire and former Grand Prix 1.60 jumper. He received excellent marks in his stallion approval – 10 for jumping ability and 10 for technique, and he has passed on his jumping prowess to his offspring. His daughter, Contefina, owned and ridden by Ashley Bond, won the 2017 West Coast Young Jumper championship. Contefino has at least 8 approved sons. His son Coutefino 6 won the Brookledge Grand Prix under Harold Choping. Lagertha’s dam, premium mare Adriana, is sired by the great Holsteiner stallion Calido, one of the most prolific producers of sport horses in Europe, with at least 50 approved sons. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing/Hong Kong Calido I was represented by California (Taizo Sugitani), Cayak (Eiko Sato) and Nobless M. More than 50 Calido I-sons are approved stallions, 187 of his descendants placed in advanced jumping classes. Adriana’s mare family, stamm 5381, has produced a number of international competitors, including the 1.55m Grand Prix horse Nils Holgersson. Adriana has produced 7 foals for us and all have been described by their owners as highly talented and willing, and athletic sport horse prospects.
Lagertha and Royal Beth will both be presented for inspection by the Holsteiner Verband in 2023.
We estimate Beth will mature to 16.2, and she will remain a bay. Beth and our other young prospects can be seen at Patriot Farm, located in Windsor, SC, just 11 miles east of Aiken. Visitors are always welcome.
Update: At her foal inspection, Beth was awarded a foal premium, with scores 8 and 7.
