Rubiana aka “Ruby” is a 2014 registered and branded US bred chestnut Hanoverian mare. By Rubignon and out of a Pablito mare, she has royal bloodlines and bred to be a winner. Standing at 15.3hh, she has solid bone and takes up the leg well (rider in photos/videos is 5’8 ). Ruby is soft and easy to make round with three very comfortable gaits. She is on the lazier side and can get sassy when asked to go forward; no rear, large buck or anything scary.
Over fences she is brave and catty with experience schooling 2’6 stadium courses and BN xc. She has been to multiple unrecognized events and does not get amped in a busy warmup.
Hacks out on and off property with minimal spooking. Wind or loud machinery, she is one that you’ll feel safe riding bareback around property.
On the ground Ruby is easy to handle and trailers, ties, clips, stands for farrier, etc.
She can be turned out alone or with a friend, but also doesn’t mind spending time in a stall. She is not very mareish and doesn’t require hormones/regumate.
Ruby’s one flaw is that she does have an ‘ugly’ scar on her left hind hock from a pasture accident as a 2yo. It has not caused any unsoundness in work. Full vet report from accident and recent X-rays available.
Due to an injury on my end she has had two months off and is now slowly being put back into work. Ruby is ideal for a confident rider looking for a talented, low mileage horse on a budget. Also a great broodmare prospect.
