Safarie was the 2012 KWPN Grand Prix Freestyle horse of the year and the RMDS Champion Grand Prix Freestyle Horse of the Year. His Piaffe & Passage were even stronger in 2013, earning a 71% in his Grand Prix Freestyle, including a score of a 7.5 for his passage and a 7 for his piaffe .

His earns 8s in his trot and canter extensions, as well as his extended or collected walk. Both walk and canter pirouettes are uncomplicated, and he has been a fabulous teacher for several students wanting to improve their riding.

Safarie is Dressage bred by Flemmingh “KWPN” and out of Brigitta by Raimond. He is a half brother to Krack C, shown by Anky Van Grusven and one of the top Dressage stallions in the world. He is also a half brother to Lingh, who was ridden by Edward Gal to much international success. His owner’s passion for exceptional breeding and potential took her to the VDL stud in the Netherlands to import an FEI candidate and Safarie did not disappoint!!

Safarie is one of the few horses who has had excellent Breed Show experience and won a USDF Championship as a 3 year old colt in hand, and then made it all the way to the Grand Prix.... His owner is a busy USEF “r” and Dressage Sport Horse Breed Judge who has decided to let a new rider enjoy his training and presence that commands attention in the show ring.
