In 2016, Verdi and his rider Maikel van der Vleuten jumped three clear rounds during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro! He has competed at several major championships including: European Championships in Madrid 2011, Olympic Games in London 2012, European Championships in Herning 2013, World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014, and European Championship in Aachen 2015 and Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro 2016. In addition, Verdi took part in no less than three World Cup Finals, in which he finished twice in 6th place and once in 7th place. Verdi is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement and can look back on Olympic team silver, WEG team gold, European team gold, and many other prizes. After dominating the showjumping sport for many years, Verdi is now one of the top sires worldwide (2022 WBFSH rank 13).

Dam sire, Indoctro is also a KWPN 'Preferent' stallion and is one of the world’s greatest sires. His offspring continue to achieve successes at the highest level and a significant number of offspring have competed at Olympic Games. In Rio de Janeiro Indoctro was represented by his sons Imothep and Amarillo. At previous Olympics were: Vedor, Casadora, VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Nike.

Severdi VDH (aka Stevie) is a very exciting hunter/jumper prospect and is the half sibling to our CSI3* 1.40m mare Fair Katie VDH Ster, IBOP, Sport (Zirocco Blue VDL x Indoctro).
His dam, Bellara SCF, is by Indoctro out of a FULL sister to Judgement ISF (Nova keur, prestatie). This is a very good dam line filled with several successful sport horses.
He is modern in type, athletic, great temperament, very smart, quick learner and very bold and has a very good character.
Suitable as a hunter or jumper.
Handled daily since birth, he is cross-tie trained and stands quietly for the farrier.
