PREMIUM German Oldenburg (GOV) 16.2 gelding born 6/29/17 by Shakespeare RSF (Sandro Hit/Arrian) out of Elite Stute Fhlora (Fuerst Heinrich/Velton Third). His dam is the half sister to the famous German sire, Benicio. Shmoky was one of the last of his foal year to be broke, and he was well worth the wait. He is a very powerful mover, with a super active hindquarter activity. He is starting to engage with half halts and lift his front end up. The contact in the reins is steady. Collection should be no problem in the future. He has an FEI pedigree that ensures show ring success.
Shmoky Quartz's sire, Shakespeare RSF (Sandro Hit/Arrian/Pablo), was bred and is owned by Rolling Stone Farm. Shakespeare RSF was the clear
Champion of his 70-Day Stallion Performance Test held in 2009 in Oklahoma. He achieved Class I status with a score of 130.53 points overall (this score reflects a five percent deduction for being over four years old). He also placed fifth for jumping with a final score of 105.31. Shakespeare's scores included 9.5 character, 9 temperament, 9.5 trainability, 8.5 trot, 9 canter (8.5 under saddle and 9.5 cross country), 8 walk, 9.5 rideability, 8 free jumping, 8 stadium jumping, 8.5 cross country jumping, and 9.25 rideability (test rider). In 2014, Shakespeare competed successfully at the Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I levels, with scores up to 73.9% and he was chosen to represent Germany at the 2014 Nations Cup in Wellington, FL. Shakespeare was 5th for USDF Horse of the Year for Intermediare I with a median score of 71.623% in 2014. He scored an 82% in an Intermediare 1 freestyle in 2015. He was the 2016 USDF RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION for Intermediare II with a 74+% and he was schooling all of the Grand Prix movements before being injured. Spanish Olympian Juan Matute declared him "world class".
Shmoky Quartz's dam, Elite Stute Fhlora is maternal half sister to the Bundeschampionate winner and FEI dressage competitor Callaho's Benicio. She is
also half sister to a licensed stallion, and half sister to the 2007 German Foal Champion. Fhlora's dam was seconnd in her class at the 2002 Ratje Niebuhr Mare
Show in Germany. She was chosen by the Hanoverian Verband to represent the Hanoverian breed at the 2002 European Mare Championship.
