Silver Nike is a 2008 dark grey Shagya filly. She is elegant, uphill, very light on the fore with big movement and lots of bone. She is intelligent, a quick learner, easy to handle, and willing. Her sire, Sterling Silver, was the highest scoring stallion at the 2006 Shagya Breed inspection. Sterling's paternal grandsire, Shagal, was a 2 time European Shagya champion. His maternal grandsire, *Oman, sired a Tevis and Haggins Cup champion.
Nike will excel in either dressage, endurance, or eventing. She will also make a valuable broodmare for Shagya or warmblood breeding. I expect her to mature 16h.
Shagyas have been used extensively as an Arabian bloodstock source in outcrossing with warmbloods. Shagyas add elegance and athleticism without compromising size and substance. You can find Shagya blood in the pedigrees of Windfall, Condus, White Girl, Ramzes(Half-Shagya), Burnus (half-Shagya), Rembrandt, Habicht and many other famous warmbloods, including many of the 2008 Olympics horses - Marius, Hickstead, Cedric, Brentina, Ravel, Bonaparte, Satchmo, and Salinero to name a few.
