Meet "Sir Winston Churchill" - handsome 9 year old 16 H Draft Cross (Percheron/TB) with a gentle personality: loads, stands for vet/farrier/worming and loves to be groomed. Strikes quite the picture in motion and standing still. Nice structure, solid feet with lofty gaits and a natural head set. Has been in training since December 2014 with a Dressage Trainer - rides with just a snaffle. Previous owner stated he was trained as a jumper (3 feet+) and on trail obstacles: crossing the wobble board, bridges, tarps, even riding with a tarp over his head. Not just an arena horse, Winston was ridden on the trails at home. In the woods, out in the open he will allow a rider to open gates quietly. He is curious and not prone to spooking with a sweet nature. He looks to his rider for direction as he is still fairly young and tries to please. Winston is reluctantly for sale because he was originally bought in the fall of 2014 for someone who is a complete beginner with no horse experience. After several months of lessons with a trainer, Winston's lofty gaits are just too hard to ride for his beginner owner who needs a different horse to learn on. Winston also prefers an intermediate rider who is confident in asking him what is expected over a green rider. Price is negotiable to the right home and includes 120 days of professional Dressage training (video will be posted shortly) - no trades please.
