Champion of his foal inspection, Sondrio displays exceptional refinement, intelligence and movement of the Sandro Hit line. Combined with his dam's great work ethic, stellar conformation and movement he will be a star in the dressage ring. As a foal at the Oldenburg approvals the judge said about him, "He is like a fine Porsche car taking off at a stop light!" He scored an 8.2 for movement, 8.4 for conformation and 8.4 for overall impression and was Premium Foal Champion of his Inspection site. Currently he stands 16.2 and has remained modern and refined with excellent movement as he continues to grow up. Sondrio has grown up with good handling, feet trimmed every six weeks for which he stands like a true gentleman. He is fine outside or in. Friendly, lots of presence. He is forward, willing and enjoying work under saddle. Walk, trot, canter and trotting serpentines.

championships and Approval Championships. His offspring completely dominated the 2006 Oldenburg approvals. His success in breeding is no
coincidence. His sire Sandro Song was Oldenburger Champion Young Stallion and Main Premium Champion. His dam, elite mare Loretta is as a dominant producer virtually unbeatable. She produced the Reserve World Champion and
Reserve German Young Horse Champion Diamond Hit and the highly elegant premium stallion Royal Hit. Her sire Ramino was Stallion Performance Test
Champion and later on five times Italian Champion. Welt As from the third
generation is one of the most influential producers over the last years,
amongst others he sired Olympic gold medallist Bonfire ridden by Anky van Grunsven. The supporters of Hanoverian stud found him particularly interesting his foals have brought the highest price at every single foal auction in Verden for many years.

Dam: Natalie has produced three premium foals for the Oldenburg NA and several Holsteiners. Her foals have excelled in dressage and jumpers. Sondrio is the oldest of her three consecutive Sandro Hit offspring who have all scored phenomenal scores at approvals. Natalie herself was quite the worker and was schooled to third level before retiring sound as a broodmare. Her work ethic under saddle was unparalleled. Her full sister Lisianthus, after breeding for a few years was recently brought back under saddle and remains sound at age 18. (See video) She was awarded highest score in NA at the Oldenburg Mare Show in 1999.
