Sovereign State MHF or “Dart” as he’s known around the farm, is by Pax Asgard af Pegasus and out of Murrumbeena Cricket. Dart's sire is a 16.3 Knabstrupper (rare Danish warmblood) who is a substantial and athletic stallion just starting his dressage career in Ocala, Florida. The breed is known for their kind and willing disposition as well as their versatility. Dart's dam is a Hackney Horse. Hackney Horses are considered an endangered breed. The breed was used by many governments for crossbreeding to improve their military stock during the nineteenth century. Many European warmblood breeds can trace their origins to the hackney crosses including the Gelderlander, Dutch Warmblood, Friesian, Standard bred and American Saddlebred. Hackney Horses are also phenomenal jumpers. At one point the breed owned the title of highest jumper with Sir Ashton in 1912 clearing 8 feet 2 inches. The breed is presently commonly used for endurance, dressage, combined driving, and coaching.

This cross produces refined movement with incredible stamina. We anticipate this colt will mature to 16 hands+. Dart has a beautifully arched neck that sits uphill at the shoulders. He has strong, sloping shoulders with fluid gaits. He's a very gentle and sweet foal who is eager to please. I am certain he will make a fabulous partner no matter what discipline his future holds.

Dart has a gorgeous, straight and springy walk. He brings his hind legs well under his body and has a reaching trot with really nice elevation. Powerful yet graceful, this guy will go far in whatever direction you point him in. He has the brains, gaits and conformation to go in many directions whether that is combined driving, endurance, jumping or dressage.

Dart is weaned and ready for his new home. We offer reasonable weaning board and training for those who are looking to purchase a youngster but do not have the space or capability to socialize a young horse properly. All our youngsters live in mixed herds and are well socialized. While we prefer they live outside most of the time, we also stall train so they can be adaptable to any living situation.
