For Sale
From Belmont to my Farm. Excellent Sport Bred OTTB. Let down and on/off training for 2 yrs, I'm looking for another project now and he's good to go. I never really tried to sell him as I was having a good time on him. At this point, I will never recover the time / training $$ for him, so the best person with a great Sport home and good offer will most likely get him. I am realistic as there are a dime a dozen ottb's out there, but none that have had him for 2 yrs with a professional. Not recommending him for the hunt as he can be strong in a herd running, unless you want to always be in 1st flight up front with the hounds. He is smart and brave on the trails and can lead with zero issues. He loves the woods, logs, water, the fields and anywhere you put him. He could definitely be an eventing candidate as he certainly has the foundation, speed and scope. He loves jumping and is a point and shoot. With that person that likes to do the dressage patterns in the ring.... You will be in heaven (with time)! For the 3 day, he will need the gymnastics over stadium, but honestly has done it all with me. You will shine in the dressage phase and that's a bonus. Tons of ground work training before dressage work and he was started nice and slow. He is classically trained on the lunge line and knows all voice commands. A super build, good feet and no soundness issues. He has clean tight legs. Star can get can get rambunctious once you start jumping as he expects and wants to please. If you give him a good field gallop, that's a good warmup and you can get to business, or you can just do some transitions in the ring and lots of bending if galloping is not your thing! He's been on a few hunter paces, tons of trail rides, seen the hounds and has been schooling basic dressage from the start. The jumping was his reward at the end and cross country is icing on the cake. He is Dead quiet when on a program, can be ridden bareback too. He has had quite a bit of training and I am happy to share. He's been to many places and loves going off farm. Ships like a pro and happy to go! This boy has a lovely on the buckle stretchy trot. Nice clean legs, no injuries, good feet and no shoes on rear. Extremely friendly, loves to be in your space nuzzling and you need to push him away. He's a tall big baby. Impeccable manners. He stays in a paddock with hot wire, he goes in/out and gets stalled when bad weather. He gets along very well with other horses, always playful. No bad manners. I've been warned, if not getting enough good food, he will chew wood. He does not do this with me and his hay net is always full. If you are still reading.... He's had the best of everything, training, chiro, reikki, massages, let down, turn out, you name it...he's been a spoiled loved horse. I never keep them this long, but as mentioned, I was going to keep him but want another project.. .Feel free to call or email. He's a beautiful horse and always gets good comments when we are out. Please call or em with any interest. Serious inqs. please. He is not a rescue, nor priced as that either. Have respect for all above and realize his training and time is over 20k I will take 15k for the right home. My loss, your gain. He will pass a pre purchase. He is sound and needs to get to his new barn and ride with his person. Quick uncomplicated sale it’s Winter here in New York and I don’t have an indoor. No lease.
