Starburst was started slowly due to her smaller size as a 3 year old and was on the back burner due to my lack of time. The last 2 1/2 years her training has been serious and she has blossomed. She is very forward thinking and loves to be inside or out. She is not a spooky mare but is sensitive. She has shown third level with scores in the mid to high 60’s. She has hacked out alone in the fields and hauls very well. She can have time off and comes right back with no lunging or upkeep. She is a very sweet horse (not mareish under saddle). She has also done some jumping and loves it!! Schooling the pirouettes, tempi changes, and half steps. Comfortable and light, starburst is perfect for a petite amateur. Baseline x-rays taken April 2021.
About her breeding:
Sir James was purchased at the 2010 Oldenburg stallion licensing in Germany. He was licensed by the AHS and HV in 2011. He is by Sir Donnerhall, who was Bundeschampion, Vice World Champion and was the undisputed top stallion at his stallion test in Adelheidsdorf, where he achieved the highest score ever of 163 in his dressage index. He has produced Bundeschampions, record-priced auction horses, numerous licensed and approved stallions and mare champions. Sir Donnerhall's pedigree contains the perfect combination of genes from Sandro Hit and Donnerhall. Sir Donnerhall's dam, Contenance D, was "Brilliantring" mare in Rastede and she is also dam to approved stallion Sir Donnerhall II. Sir James' dam is by the famous Feiner Stern, main Premium Stallion in Oldenburg in 1987. He is known for producing rideability and high quality riding horse attributes. In 2017, Sir James' dam was grand dam to the Westphalion stallion licensing winner. Sir James' grandmother SPS/El. St. Pirola produced Donavan-Bailey, 1999 Vice-Bundeschampionate for 4 year old stallions, ridden by Kristy Oatley-Nist, and Don Bailey, ridden by George Williams, among others.
Starburt's Dam Wolkenzauber was accepted into the main stud book of the GOV in 2007. Before that "Wilma" was inspected and performance tested in Germany. At her inspection she received an overall 9.0 with 9's for head, saddle position, frame, conformation, swing and elasticity at the trot, and overall impression and development. She received 8's fo all of her other scores, except for a 7 for the front leg. At her performance test, she received a 9 for her trot, 8's for canter and walk, rideability and 7's for both jumping form and ability. Her final score was 7.78.
Starburst is bred to be the best. In professional training until sold.
