Stedman is in full training with Carrie Wilson in Michigan since he was started under saddle in June. Carrie has repeatedly remarked about his love of his work. Like his dam, he is forward, not spooky, and eager to please. He is already working confidently walk, trot, canter, doing trot poles and hacking out. He has three very correct and balanced gaits with his canter being a highlight.
This elegant bay colt will be a great partner as your next dressage horse. Stedman has his feet trimmed every six weeks. Is brought in during bad weather, but has grown up in spacious safe pastures. His legs are clean and he has had no injuries. Gelded and stands tied, bathes, lunges.
Sire: Stedinger is a first choice pick with breeders when looking for a stallion to produce exceptional dressage offspring.
Stedinger was the radiant and unequivocal approval winner of the 2002 Oldenburg Stallion Days. He is a modern, elegant stallion, large framed and highly elastic in every respect. Stedinger is one of the best of his age class as regards his jumping performance. His sire Sandro Hit is regarded as the upholder of the Sacramento Song xx – Butes bloodline that established itself in Holstein and was disseminated in the warmblood breeds of Oldenburg and Hanover via Sandro. Despite being under heavy breeding stress, Stedinger performed outstandingly at the 70 day test in Neustadt/Dosse with a total index of 131 points.
His first foals, who are all dark-coated, have caused sensations and brought top prices: “S info nie” was the champion filly at the German Foal Championchip in Lienen, and the most expensive filly in Verden. “Starman” was one of the most expensive youngsters in Vechta in 2004.
Dam: Natalie has produced three premium foals for the Oldenburg NA and several Holsteiners. Her foals have excelled in dressage and jumpers. Natalie herself was quite the worker and was schooled to third level before retiring sound as a broodmare. Her work ethic under saddle was unparalleled. Her full sister Lisianthus, after breeding for a few years was recently brought back under saddle and remains sound at age 20. She was awarded highest score in NA at the Oldenburg Mare Show in 1999. Natalie's damline is an important one in the US, known for soundness and structural correctness, which she passes on to her offspring.
Stedman has a full set of x-rays on file.
