Stone is a super sweet, laid back kinda guy that loves attention, going out on trail rides alone or in company and is an absolute machine out on cross country. I think its his absolute favorite part of eventing. His dressage is a work in progress but he is a lovely mover that has scored in the low 30's in dressage and is capable of better scores once he understands where all his body parts go.
Stone has an amazing canter that makes finding a rhythm to the jumps extremely easy. He has the brain to make a nice amateurs horse and the talent for a professional to bring along to the upper levels. He is a no spook, no buck, no problem kind of guy. He just needs further training to reach his full potential.
I bought Stone at the beginning of last year to compete in the retired race horse project 2018. He finished 50th out of over a hundred entries with stellar scores in the jumping.
In preparation for the RRP he competed in 3 events. Two mini trials and one recognized. The last one before the RRP he came in 2nd with a dressage score of 33.
I believe Stone could go in any direction whether it be in the hunters/jumpers/equitation/field hunters or carry on eventing. The sky is the limit with this big boy.
