"James" has been our favorite since birth and he continues to impress. Being a BIG fan of TB blood, I've been wanting to breed to Sea Accounts xx for ages. Not only did he prove himself in the Eventing world, his pedigree is brimming with "old-style" American TBs -- horses that ran distances, carried weight and showed themselves to be superior performers in their sport. His sire, Sea Hero won the Kentucky Deby. And many of Sea Accounts ancestors not only excelled in producing race horses, but then went on to appear in the pedigrees of top sport horses as well. Names like Damascus, Northern Dancer (x2), Ribot, Buckpasser, War Admiral (x2), Danzig and the "Blue Hen" mare Flower Bowl fill Sea Accounts' pedigree; legends of Sport that are difficult to find this close anymore.
James' dam, Whytewytch RHR (barn name "Angel") brings an interesting pedigree to the mix. Her sire was the imported Dutch stallion "Werigo" (Rigoletto). Werigo was imported as a Grand Prix jumper, but he proved so talented in dressage, he ended up being a very successful GP dressage competitor under (future) Olympian Steffan Peters. Werigo was many times HOY and, while he did not start his career as a sire till he was 17 yrs old, he managed to sire 1 approved stallion and several premium mares. Werigo's sire was the famous Rigoletto, producer of multiple international jumpers, including several Olympic medal winners. Rigoletto's sire Ramzes is still highly valued in a pedigree today, as he was one of the few stallions in WB history to not only found his own line in TWO major registries, but along the way Ramzes sired Olympic medalist is BOTH dressage and jumping!
Angel has already proved her value as a producer; her 2017 filly "Lovely Lovely RHR" by the WB stallion Licosto, won her foal inspection and as a weanling won Regional Championship honors in just 2 shows. This past year Lovely repeated her triumph with scores over 77% in the 2y old Filly USDFBC Series with very limited showing; finishing 7th in the nation.
The maternal granddam to both James & Lovely is JT Maja -- a PB Polish Arab with 4 lines to the immortal Arabian stallion Bask +++. Bask was the #1 producer of performance horses AND halter horses for many years during his lifetime and even after his death. They excelled in many different disciplines, from English to Western to endurance and even flat racing. Bask horses are known to be tough, athletic, smart and just abit opinionated. Maja is all of these things -- she was purchased as an unstarted 2 yr old and remains fat, dappled & sound today, at age 26yrs.
James has already shown great athletic ability with a pronounced talent for jumping. Not to mention he's really a pretty boy, super correct, with great gaits. His only fault...he is not the filly I had hoped for....so here he is...a uber-awesome sport prospect for the budget-minded. Strong preference given to a proven competition home. Open to all reasonable offers.
