Tarzan is a 17.3H 12yr old registered DHH. With 4 socks, a blaze, and flaxen mane & tail, he is a true “King of the Jungle” and will get you noticed everywhere you go. On the ground he has the personality of a giant golden retriever. He loves having his own person and building a relationship with them. Wherever he has lived he has been the barn favorite. He is gentle with small children and loves attention from them. He’s excellent with dogs, and is used to having them underfoot.

Under saddle, Tarzan is trained to 1st level dressage and has shown in non rated training level classes. He is light to the aids, and thrives with a rider who likes a well trained and responsive horse. He is an impressive natural mover with beautiful gaits and a canter to die for! Multiple dressage trainers have commented that he has true upper level potential. He is as honest as they come with no buck, rear, or bolt. This fella will try his heart out for you every ride. He has been out of consistent work for a few months while his trainer was on maternity leave, but is used to being hauled off property for weekly lessons. He has trail ridden extensively, bush whacking and crossing mud and water. He is used to cars, farm equipment, and riding out with a bunch of dogs. He has had some training over fences and shown excellent potential if that’s the direction you’d like to take. He also drives and shown a real knack for liberty work. He’d excel as a dressage horse, fox hunter, eventer, jumper, or pleasure horse.

Tarzan does have a mild roar at the canter that does not affect him in any way. He has excellent feet. He is currently barefoot, but was shod when being ridden out a lot. He is a gentleman for the farrier and is used to being hot shod. He ties, cross ties, baths, blankets, and loads. He is currently stalled at night, but also does great being out 24/7. He’s current on vaccinations, coggins, dental, and deworming. Requires no special maintenance. All he needs is a new person that wants to be his best friend.
